Our First "P" day!
We discovered that us pale faces need more sun screen than just one rub. Leray did not put any on his face and he really looks like a lobster! He put sunscreen on his legs but not thick enough.  I had a red nose but I had put some on just not thick enough. I forgot to put sunscreen on the back of my neck and it did burn. Leray got me in a Kayak out on the ocean but I did not go swimming. We saw lots of fish and coral.

Attached are some pictures from our P day trip.

We are here in the Marshall Island Now !!!!

The Mission President and the other two couples working out of the mission office are very nice and have help us get our feet on the ground here.  We are still waiting for equipment, such as phones, computer, where our office space will be and etc.  Leray is using his notebook and we presently share a desk with the Assistants to President.

Just waiting to fly to the Islands.   We finished our training by having a luncheon with
Elder Enrique R. Falabella, from Guatemala, and Elder Joseph W. Sitati, from Kenya at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City.  These two Elders along with Elder Gay are over of the PEF/Self Reliance Initiative which is begin rolled out all over the world except US and Canada.  One or more of these Elders will be traveling to the Pacific in the near future to meet the Area Church Leaders to provide training.
We are to "go and do"  with a overview and a objective.

Before we left to head by to Provo, we took another picture with the SLC Temple in the background.

I  guess we are ready to enter the mission field:
1.  We have submitted all the items to get our visa's,
2.  Purchased different clothes we hope for the warmer weather
3.  Obtain all the shots required
4.  Took our older grand boys to see the ocean
5.  Built 30 cabinet doors for one daughter
6.  Got to see our newest grandchild  born on 9/1/2013
7.  Attended a surprise 60th birthday party for Leray

We hope we have all our necessary affairs that we will leave, for while we are gone, taken care of

We know that we are doing what the Lord would have use do at this time in our life.  Yes we will miss our family and friends but I know our family will be blessed and watch over,   We will develop new friendships and a love for the those we will serve and serve with.

MTC here we come!!!!.
